Okay, so since I picked up the V400 for my girlfriend and have played with it quite a bit... great phone, Moto really got it right on this one. I have 2 major complaints... one of which is more of a "I need help" item though. The ringers... okay, what the hell? Where can I get ringers as cool (or the actual ones) that are on the site advertised for this phone? The ringers suck, flat out.

The big question. Is there a trick to get this thing to work properly on AT&T. It has great signal, always has AT&T as the provider (have traveled out of state and it kept good ol' AT&T the whole way), can place calls just fine, but the biggest thing with this phone... BIG problem... it almost NEVER recieves calls and takes sometimes hours and even ...

Sorry, I have Cingular. As for the ringtones, just create your own MP3 ringtones. It takes a little work to do, but it's so worth it! You can then create your own wallpapers and ringtones and upload them to your phone and create your own themes.

The only recommendation I can possible give your for your other problem... have you tried checking out all the notification tones just to make sure you have it set to alert you when you have a new message, voicemail, etc.???

Just a thought.

I would suggest first making sure all your network settings for the internet features are correct. make sure your server settings and everything is correct for your service. You may need to contact AT&T's tech support. They have the V300 and should be able to still know all of the info to set up the phone.

Ok bud,

Couple questions. When you say you need it to work on AT&T are you a AT&T Customer or are you a Cingular Customer roaming on an AT&T Tower?

Regardless you should not have any problems with receiving calls on either carrier. First thing I would do is ask an AT&T Rep to re-prgram your phone. I know how to do it if your local reps say they don't know how.

As for network setup, that should have nothing to do with the phone.

I'm interested in this too. I wouldn't think that would be possible without a sim card burner because it's loaded into the activation codes and IRDB. The graphic logos are software based and on the phone, which i supposed you could edit if you can access the ram. do tell.

Sorry, but you cannot manually reprogram a GSM phone. Only TDMA.
