Convert MP3 to AAC

Complexity

May 19, 2004, 6:17 AM
I read in a previous reply to another thread that you can convert mp3 to aac for smaller file size that the mobile will be able to play. What converter do you use to convert the mp3 to aac... is there a converter program within PC Suite?? If there is, I couldn't find it, so how do I use it?

Thanks in advance,

- Complexity.

I don't know about Nokia's PC Suite, but there's nothing stopping you from downloading iTunes from Apple, importing your music and converting (encoding) them to AAC (.m4a) files.

Still, if possible, you want to avoid transcoding. Making lossy copies of other lossy copies will degrade your audio to some extent. You'll want to re-rip from your original CDs or lossless copies if you can.

No MP3 to AAC in PC Suite, only CD to AAC.

Try nero... there is a plug-in for the converter for their latest version. The plug-in is third party, so try a google search.
