Dont mean to post twice but heres a quicky question. I am going on a trip out of the country pretty soon and would like to have a tri-mode fone. I had the a610-little big,no frnt lcd, and DUAL mode. So I have been so patiently waiting for the 9900, and waiting and waiting...I have come to the realization that this fone is not going to be released within the next 3 or 4 weeks so instead I'll just get a tri-mode for the trip and this will hold me over until the 9900 comes out. Most of the world outside of the US uses GSM, while Korea uses a much enhanced version of CDMA (not compatible with a Verizon phone) and Japan uses something that isn't compatible with anything.

If you want to have a mobile phone outside of the US, your best bet is a GSM phone. Then you need to buy a SIM card, which can be a prepay you purchase at the country you're in, or you sign up for a carrier in the US that uses GSM (T-Moblie or AT&T for example) AND ...
