I've noticed it also, the battery will read full for about a half a day with a couple calls and text messages and then go down to 2 bars for a little bit and then down to 1 bar when i use it more at night, I've let the battery die completely and letting it charge fully and it seemed to help it a little

I haven't really thought of a phone to get when I can get the upgrade because I like this phone so much. But to answer your question, I will probably wait for the Motorola E815 or the Samsung A970. I personally don't like LG phones but thats just me.

Battery life on the LG 8000 is really no better and will be about the same for the 8100. Most any of the good phones now days that have a big bright displays will use a lot of battery power. Sorry, but that is the trade off for great screens and lots of features! 😉

Just use a car charger and every once in awhile let the battery drain totally down before charging and that appears to help, even though some say it shouldn't because of the type of battery, but it works! 😁

This phone, and the LG 8000 or 8100, you can expect one to two days of light to moderate service before recharging depending on the length of calls and how much you use the other features.

But it shouldn't be a big deal to just put it on charge each night ...

Get the extended battery, makes a world of difference. I use the phone alot and before I got the extended battery it wouldn't even last the day. It will last almost 2 days, again I use the phone alot. It will also fit into the leather case.
