Has anyone had either of these things happen?

Yesterday every time I tried to use voice dialing, a message came on that said that the name could not be recognized. It was working fine before that.

Another strange thing happened today. Someone called me, but instead of the phone ringing, I heard my own voice, which I recognized as being one of the voice notes I had recorded yesterday! 😕

After I bought Verizon's leather case, voice recognition has seriously degraded. I have made sure that the mice isn't blocked. Probably the leather somehow dumps the vibrations - perhaps the ones known as second order harmonics, resulting in a voice signature mismatch. Separately, while I consider my Lantronics headset to be of excellent quality, I found it near impossible to use for voice-dialing numbers, on which the phone was trained without the use of the headset. I'd be curious to hear if anyone tried training the unit through a headset and how the unit performed after with/without the headset.

I don't have a case or a headset, so that would have nothing to do with the problem I had. If it continues to happen, I'll have to bring the phone in to get it checked out.

I figured out why my phone rang with one of my voice notes instead of a ringer........I had inadvertently set the ringer type to "voice notes" instead of "media gallery." Now if I could only get my voice dialing to work well!!!
