This phone is to big!!! Audiovox 8900 is better phone, smaller, lighter...etc .EXCEPT for the out display. My cousin has the SANYO version of this phone for sprint..... there is no point to the video, its horrible....cool but if having a bigger phone or a smaller, i choose the smaller one....i think the Motorola V810 or the AudioVox-8900 UPDATED version is the way to go.....

That's not really true. Compare to LG vx6000, which I think is medium sized, certainly not too big, the 9900 is only like .2 oz heavier and 3mm longer if the specs are true. It doesn't make much difference for me. 8900 is relatively small phone (I guess because Koreans like their phones small while Japanese don't mind as much) in my opinion so I don't think you shouldn't say that the 9900 is too big because it's bigger than the 8900.

"When I was your age, we didn't have *small cell phones*, we had cell phones the size of a car that got 15 minutes of stand-by time, with no internet or voice dialing; and you know what?! We liked it!"

Sorry, but I had to give my grumpy old man rant. But in all seriousness, it's a fairly big phone (as big as the T720, as far as I can tell), but all the phones that support video, even that GSM Nokia, are kind of on the porky side.

For people with larger hands, the 9500 is a great size, my best friend has one and has no problem with it. He even carries it in his pocket every day and it doesn't bother him. The large screen puts my 4400 screen to shame. The 9900 will be smaller, though a tad thicker. Keep in mind that not everyone wants a phone so small that they can't hit one button without accidentally hitting the three surrounding buttons. The video will be an awesome feature when other people you know get a video phone too. Its just like P2T: if noone you know has it then you can't use it, but when the rest of the world catches up to you it becomes indespensible. As a devoted verizon customer, I would kill to put the Godly sanyo on my network, the Audiovox will be a ...

This phone is really not that big...

3.66" tall and 1.9" wide

other phones are just so damn small...

i have used the 8600 and i sometimes hit the wrong numbers because the keypad is so tiny.

This phone should be a good size... at least for people who do not have extremely small hands.

I wouldn't mind a bigger phone. I would even like it because of the small button problems mentioned above. What I wouldn't want is a thicker phone that would bulge from my pants pocket. I don't understand why the manufacturers don't get that. If they need space inside the phone just make it a bit taller and wider, don't make it thicker!

just ranting 🙂

Not wider please... The damned Kyocera Smartphone looks like a garage door opener.
