phone discontinued?
Not trying to start any dumb rumors or anything like that. I just called my local verizon store and asked if they had any leather cases for the 9900--the guy checked and said no, so I asked when he would be getting more. He said he was not sure but that he knows that the 9900 has already been discontinued. This guy could just not know what he is talking about, so I called verizon and they indicated that the phone was a "while supplies last" product and concurred that it was discontinued--not because there was anything wrong with the phone, but that they are just not going to continue carrying them. Not sure if any of this is true, it is just two verizon employees' information, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any info?

I called Verizon and they said they are out of stock for the moment, but they do have more on order. He said the phone was not discontinued, but the initial shipment they got was small.

What, you mean the pix of the previous owner's family reunion are inferior? That's an outrage. I feel bad abuot the broked keypad as well.
There's something weird about how it's OK to use slang when speaking, and to typo and misspell when writing. But somehow the direct, purposeful transmission of the slang to the page without the brain interceding seems too wrong to witness.

I was told the same thing, that the 9900 wouldn't be restocked after their sale. I live in Hawaii...so does the state make a difference? đĸ I want this phone!

After upgrading 3 of my family -share lines to this phone last week, I called Verizon and ordered one for my mother on Saturday (9th).
They said they were currently out of stock, but were expecting the next shipment on Monday. As long as she ordered before the sale ended, she would get the discounted price, and they would ship the phone as soon as their next shipment arrived. They said she should have her phone by the end of this week.
Doesn't sound like it is being discontinued to me.
