Does any one know if ringtones can be sent as a file attachment from an email or web site to the phone?

Yes!!

Howver, you must use the vzwpix.com email address for your phone, and it counts as a picture message.

Once it is in your phone, open it and choose OPTIONS - SAVE - SOUND.

Attach any MIDI file that you want to use as a Ringtone to an Email using your favorite Email software. Send it to address:

yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com

When it arrives in your phone, open it and select OPTIONS - SAVE - SOUND

This will save it in your Media Gallery as a TUNE. The name will be something made up by the phone, like AR1. You can rename it to anything you like.

I am a little confused on mp3 ringtones--I have read all of the postings with instructions and I appreciate them, but have run into some issues which I was hoping someone could help me with.

First of all everyone says to send the email with the mp3 attached from your favorite e-mail program to yournumber@vzwpix.com--doesn't that go to the vzwpix website??? How would that go to your phone?

next, when people talk about converting a wav to a 24kbps file, i used musicmatch to do this. I am not sure if it is stereo or mono--how can you tell? secondly, how do you change the file extension to .mid from .mp3--in explorer, i dont even see where you can do this.

thanks a lot!
