Are BOTH my 9900s Reatarded, or am I?
I have gone through 2 of these phones already, here's my problem...
When someone calls my phone it shows up with their name and number on both the inside and outer LCD, but when I miss a call it shows up as "No Number" on my missed call screen. So, I called my phone and it showed up with name and number and when I ignored it the Missed Call Screen said "No Number". I returned the first on ein and they said that it was a defect in the phone (they tried it in the store and it did the same thing). It's doing it on this second phone I have too! What's up? Anyone know?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated...thank you so much!

Should the outer LCD display missed call or only an icon? The inner LCD does give the number of missed calls.

I tried mine... the number for the missed calls showed up every time, whether or not the number was in the contacts list... If it was in the contacts list then the name is displayed too...

My inside LCD screen will display and record that I have a missed call. Does your outer LCD do the same, or only give you an icon? (My outer LCD will state that I have new messages, but I have to open the phone to see how many...is this normal?

My outter LCD say ## Missed Call (## being the number of calls). My outside LCD says New Message and does NOT show the number of messages. Both features are NORMAL for Audiovox phones, the ones that I've used anyway.

Your outer LCD does give you the number of missed calls? Is this feature that I turned on somewhere? I only ask because my outer display will not show the number of missed calls.

so how can i set the outer display to show the number of missed calls? by me it only shows an icon of a phone with an arrow like to say open the flip to see the missed calls.

That's what I get also. Can anyone tell me if that is normal? I can't find anything in the manual with regards to configuring the LCD screen except for contrast, and type of clock display.

well you can assign a pic to the outside display

How do you assign a picture to the outside display? I have been looking for it in the manual.

pretty tricky i figured that one out... go into display settings choose #6 which is idle screen then choose option 2 which is sub lcdclick ok then u will see media gallery choose a pic.

Being I just read your post, I tried duplicating the problem you had and when I have a missed call, it shows me the # so it works fine for me. Could it be a problem with the service in your area?

on ur inside screen or ur outside screen?

On my outer display when the phone is closed, I get the # showing up and if I have a phone book entry from that particular # that call's, it also displays the name as well and if I don't answer, it shows up as an icon on the outer display on my phone letting me know I have a missed call and when I open my phone, I see the name and # displayed as a missed call. So it seems to be working fine for me.

ok same thing happens by me when i miss a call it shows on the outer display only an icon this is the concern here
