What am I doing wrong?? .mid ringers
This is what I did:
1. Coverted mp3 @ 32 bits (98kb)
2. Changed mp3 to .mid
3. Sent an email from vzwpix.com
- added my .mid file as a sound attachment
4. Got the message on my phone
5. Saved the sound
6. Set as ringer
7. DOES NOT WORK
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong??

I changed from mozilla to Internet Explorer and i can play it on vzwpix.com
However, when I try and play it on my phone it doesn't work. In the properties it says that the ringtone 100kb and is asociated as a midi. When I press play it acts like there is nothing to play. What else do I need to do????

Finally got the music to play on my phone but when I try to save it to the phone it saves my Media Gallery is full.

can you let us know what you did in each case where you hit a wall? that way we can all have an easier time converting our mp3s into midi ringtones!
also, how good does the ringtone sound after conversion... as an actual ring? is it accurate?

My biggest problem was forgetting to change stereo to mono when converting a mp3. Save sound file once it is sent. Set as ringer. Sounds great. Studio versions sound better than live versions of songs. 😲

Can someone post a somewhat detail on what i need to download and how to do it. can someone go from start to finish on this. sorry for wanting the detail but i got this phone 2 days ago from which i had a moto v60i and this is lightyears better. thanks to all and to all a good night.

I mailed mine from yahoo. Had to make it 22050hz, 24kbps, mono and change .mp3 to .mid.

What did you do? I friend of mine here in the office just got a 9900 and we sent a ringtone to it and plays on the message, but says the media gallery is full. What did you change to save the file?

The only way I could it was to transfer the mp3 @ a rate of 32, mono. This is the only way I could make it work. Anything else would make the phone state "media gallery full."
