My Fault. I did not know about the price decrease. $49.99 to start, minus $100.00 every 2yr is a great price.

It would be new if we could apply the extra money from the (new e2yr) towards accessories or something.

It IS a typo. The VZW website has it listed at $219.99 for a 2-year agreement, $269.99 for a 1-year. I don't know where he got $150, even. Unless you go:

$219.99 - $70 mail-in rebate = $149.99

Then, if you factor in the $100 NE2 you'd get $49.99. I think that's what he was talking about.

Here's what I have gotten from my research today...

The 9900 is in stock in most stores (in Cali) and will be out for sale tomorrow morning when doors open. The prices have been going up and down all day on the Verizon Website. (If you notice the 9900 isn't even on the page any longer!?) Anyway, $49.00 with a two year contract, and $99.00 with a one year contract. It was supposed to be $219.00 with a two year agreement, but they are putting it on a sale when it first comes out for the prices listed above. This sale will end the 11th of October...so you have 10 days to get it.

Also, along with buying the 9900 while it's on sale you will get a FREE LG 3200. As long as you start another line or have someone to give it to that's up f...

Is there a reason why the Verizon Website doesn't show the 9900 any longer? Is it just my zip code? I used the same zip code this morning and it was there, now it's gone!? If others are still seeing the phone posted under their zip code can you post your zip code...or a zip code where it shows up under? I just wanted to look at the Specifications of this phone compared to what PhoneScoop has listed.

Thanks so much! 😁

Thank you, you seem to know quite a bit about this phone and such. Do you happen to know why it's not showing up in my zip code now? It was this morning?

Do you also happen to know whether or not the 9900 has a ringer id or not? I've heard both sides...PhoneScoop says no, Verzon's doesn't specify. Do you know for sure?

Thanks! 😁

i dont know squat!!! 🤣 just been following it for quite some time. Was planning on getting the phone but it took to long to come out, then v710 came out and i took it. The rumors were that the phone had been cancelled, but i guess not. so now i got 15 days to try out the v710 or change it and get this one.

Its mostly personal things such as poorly made keypad, 3ft antenna, horrible camera (even though i own a digi). But i payed almost $400 for a damn phone, it should do more than make calls. thats why i wanted to try out this phone. I saw the sprint version and the screen amazed the hell out of me. That was like a little plasma screen on a phone. Real gorgeous.

I DID notice that. But if you look on the rebate matrix, it lists a $70 MIR until 10/11/04. My guess is that they'll release a PDF of the rebate form, and then push the pads out as soon as Harte-Hanks prints the damn things.

It IS a dope phone, though. It feels solid & doesn't creak like the V710. I like the 'click' it makes when you open & close it. Every Toshiba-built phone I've ever used has been a quality device. I believe this will be no different. Thank God that they got rid of the counter-intuitive menu system from the 8600. Death to Curitel! Lol
