Formal announcement? Highly unlikely. Verizon is no longer interested in the v810. As recently as July 20, Verizon said the phone was still in testing. Since then, Motorola has indicated Verizon will not carry this phone. It's a definite bummer and a short-sighted move by Verizon.
Still looking to get my hands a v810 with stubby antenna that was used in latter-stage testing this summer with Verizon or one via the group-guy discussed here.
The v265 seems like it will be a decent phone but its no v810. Leave it to Verizon for finding ways not to give us cool, sleek phones. I'd say there's a 1 percent chance Verizon will change its mind on the v810. Of course, Verizon will say it did not pass testing, which at this point, is bs.

YES, BUT ONLY IN TIME WILL THEY RELEASE THE V810, REMEMBER THE V710 IS IN THE SPOT LIGHT! IT WILL GET ALL OF ITS FAME AND THEN IN SEPT 04' WILL THE PHONE BE OUT!

Hey. thanks for the update and info. 2 questions: since you tested this phone, how is the earpiece volume (that seems to be a prob. with Motorola on many models)?
Also, are you saying that you believe the v810 will be available from Verizon in SEPTEMBER?

😁 The only thing that will hold up the phones release, is software issues, rookie or not you should know that the way things in the cell business works!

I think you might just know something, and judging by your posts of late, you never directly answer questions. Its likely you do this because you do not want to blow your cover.
If this is the case, just try to be a little more concrete with your answers. Again, I've been told not to count on it coming out for Verizon and this comes from very reliable sources. While it is possible Verizon will change its mind, again, I'm told its not going to happen.
