I just spent a half hour reading the last few days posts.
> Verizon won't add GSM towers. Why would they? there aren't GSM towers anywhere where there aren't already CDMA towers. GSM on a CDMA handset is and will always be only for international roaming. Verizon IS putting up PCS towers, starting in NY and working their way down the atlantic coast. This will give them more bandwidth, allowing them to roll out higher end data services, e.g. streaming video on the LG VX8000, which I was told by a Verizon rep would be released early '05. Not much good having the phone out sooner when all its cool features rely on EV-DO when the signal wouldn't be available nationwide till later.

regarding verizon's in network vs T-mo's couple plan, that is all relative. At first glance, the VZN plan sounds better because it affects more potential callers, however the price point is much higher with VZN so again you end up paying more each month and that adds up quickly. There are always 2 sides to every story and a way to spin something to make it look good or bad. I wonder if you told VZN people that in future arguments they were not allowed to mention coverage in their defense, what they would come up with?
2005 for the LG phone at the earliest? Great, wonder where the competition will be then? VZN is not the only one in this race.

"Bottom line, don't complain about the A310, get a new phone."

If you read my post then you can see that that's exactly what I wanted to do, BUY A NEW PHONE.
But I'm not going to spend my money and get a new contract on a crappy phone when I KNOW that there are new ones about to come out.

I was waiting for the V810to come out so I could GET the NEW PHONE.
I got tired of waiting for these phones to come out because having my A310 was becoming a nightmare. People with T-Mobile, AT&T and all others had better recption than me so how can I not get annoyed at that when I'm paying more for Verizon.
Whatever works for you as a customer may not work for others.
