Motorola V810
It's Official: Verizon has scrapped the V810 project!
The Motorola rep told me Verizon has scrapped the V810 and will push to get the 710 out by 4th Quarter 2004. In the meantime, LG is coming out with the vx7000, which is already showing in Verizon's store computer systems. The inventory clerk I spoke with said they are expecting this phone any day now.

Good, I never really liked this phone, and the VX7000 is this +more, for probably the same price

What area do you live in??? The sales people around my way are saying that they haven't heard about the VX7000 coming out until at least April.

VZW Reps in NYC are still eagerly anticipating the release of the V810. This is as of 10am THIS morning.
If it not were to be released then they would not direct their customers to "wait patiently, just a little longer" and watch PhoneScoop.
I recommend that you preface your converstions with them about "renewing" your contract because it seems to make them alot more willing to give info.
Also, they claim some NEW Motorola SmartPhone is on its way very very soon.

I actually have insider info from Moto who says that the v810 is going thru its last faze of testing & should be out round Apr. 1st & the 710 will be out by July. Im hopefully getting the v810 round the 20th of March to test. If I do I will tell you all how good it is.

do you know if the moto v810, and v710 will have those icon shortcuts on the mainscreen just like the t720 has, that won't come off?

I've been told the V810 will have the ICON User Interface, but the V710 WILL NOT...who knows

If the v710 and v810 are anything like the v400, you will be able to turn off the icons and basically have a completely clean home screen.
