So I have a macbook...is there any program out there that will allow for some sort of syncing like I have with my Iphone? Or does it just show up as like a hard drive or something when you connect it?

When you connect it the phone will recognize the USB port. Pull down the notification bar and click on it, select "disc drive" and your phone will show up as 1 (without SD) or 2 (with SD card) external hard drive(s)

You might also want to look into a computer program called Double Twist if you make playlists on iTunes and you want to sync them

I downloaded double twist (Thank you btw) and was able to import my playlists from iTunes.

Is there a painless way to get contacts on the phone as well as calendar items?

Thanks
