Email notification

It used to be(yesterday) that after i received an email notification and read it that the little envelope symbol in the drop down would disappear. now it doesnt. Anyone know why? Sometimes this phone just makes me crazy but I love it anyway

I get that with my Gmail notification every once and awhile as well. It seems to be an issue with the read/unread coding. Never had it with 2.01.. maybe a 2.1 bug?
