lights ID
I have created 5 new catagories on phone and named them each for my 5 closest friends. then I set the catagories for phone book to 'all'
when the phone rings it lights one color for all parties that call.. what am I doing wrong? the manual does not go into depths about the subject. as a matter of fact I could not even find a choice for color ring ID to choose until I created the first catagory other than the factory ones. I have thought about changing the names of the factory ones an trying to use them for the 5 persons but dont want to mess up factory setting.... any suggerstions

I had this issue back in March and came to the conclusion based on the manual and phone itself that you cannot have more than one ID LIGHT at a time. Ringtone, yes. ID light, no.

I believe you can assign different light ID's to different categories, but not individuals.

I have "All" categories enabled, and get different lighting effects depending upon the category. At least one 2 of the categories were my creations.
Individual ringers that you define over ride the category or default ring. For example, a category of "family" could have one ring, but your brother could have a distinctive ring. When your brother calls, the category light would light the same as for any other member of your family, but his ring would be distinct from the others in that category.
In that same scenario, a different categoy ringing in should be able to have it's own light characteristics.
