Motorola V600
cingular v600 with t-mobile
I was in a local cingular store, and they will sell me a v600 with no activation or contract for 415.00. They say it'll work with t-mobile, any thoughts on this? If I buy it how hard is it to configure to work with t-mobile/ t-zones and email. I know i can just take my sim carfd out of my v60, but what else do i need to do? thanks

First you need to get the phone unlocked.
Then you can have TMobile send you all the browser settings for TZones and all the other things (MMS, etc) via OTA (over the air).
I would make sure that b/f you buy the phone, it is unlocked otherwise it won't work on TMobile service.

PS I have an unlocked/unbranded...there were a few threads in the forum stating that TMobile will start to carry it in June.

I recently bought a Cingular phone which was brand new, unlocked, for $99 and use it on Tmobile. As long as your GSM phone is unlocked, you can change services. You can even unlock it after you start service with Tmobile. This will enable you to travel globally and simply buy a sim card in any country, pop it into your phone, and, you're off and running with a local # and cheap, cheap, cheap, minutes. The U.S. is the biggest ripoff place going. Fortunately, there are ways to beat it.

I am quite happy with the T-Mobile service I am having currently. Since T-Mobile is not offering the V600, I'd like to buy the same (unlocked) and use it with T-Mobile.
