v600 mp3 ringtone question

sunday

Apr 14, 2004, 8:17 PM
I recently purchased the motorola V600 and one of the features which I really liked was the mp3 ringtone option, I was under the assumption that I could send myself ringtones via e-mail, I tried and I was unsuccessful, anyone know what I did wrong or if this is even possible? I am on AT&T, pretty sure that the e-mail address for an AT&T phone is
phone number(and area code)@mobile.attws.net - is this correct? Thanks!

hey Bill
it does not cost anything to register for wap.rousso.net but they ask for donations, thats how the site stays up and running! 😁 .i also have (myvoicetones) software on my computer that allows you to make your own mp3 ringtones. i downloaded it from myphonefiles.com,and it cost 29.95 to join as a priemer member and that allows you to download the software.they also have a puplic section were you can download poly ringtones and screen savers and pictures that people have uploaded to the site.It doesnt cost anything to register for puplic section but they ask for donations also.
hope this helps!!! 😉

Bill, this is how it works for (wap.rousso.net)
when you register they send you a pass word through email.when you get your pass word you can login and listen to the ringtones to see if like the ringtones.you can download the ones you like to your computer and then transfer them to your phone using a data cable,or you can go to the site through your phone.heres the steps for that: menu > web access, select >go to url, select > then enter wa.rousso.net , hit ok,then you login in and browse catagories, and choose the ones you want!! GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN!!!

If you have a bluetooth adapter or a USB cable (the cable can be had for seriously like $0.05 on eBay), you can load them onto the phone directly. If over bluetooth, you can use windows explorer to just cut/paste the mp3. If over USB, you can use SistorGSM to load it as a user media file.

Are you getting an error message or something using WAP?
