mobile phone tools will not install

I am trying to install Mobile Phone Tools on my laptop, and it keeps giving an error.
"Unhandled Exception"
Error Number: 0x80040707
Description: DLL function call crashed: PbkInstall._GetBookNames

Setup will now terminate.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have had the same problem. It happened when I choose outlook instead of that BSVP (sp?) option. The only way I knew how to cure it was re-format my computer.

Don't do anything serious to your computer to fix this problem! All you have to do to make it work is this:

I assume you're installing MPT v1.23c. If so, then you will need to update to v2.16, and then all the way up to v2.20. So when you're installing v1.23c, and the error comes up, don't click any of the buttons on the error message. Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up the Task Manager and "End Task" on the installation. Then double-click the setup for v2.16. From there just use the Live Update feature to get to v2.20.
