Does anyone have any information on positives or negatives of the .23R flash over the other firmwares floating around? Has anyone flashed to this firmware yet? Additionally, has anyone found any of the flashes that seem to be elusive at this point in time?

23R is supposedly really buggy 😕

I haven't found anything online except for 1DR_A ☚ī¸

23R is buggy, slows down the phone, cuts off the sounds, JAVA doesn't work. I had to flash it back and put 1DR_A, much safer and stable.
My advice, hands off from that one. Even motclub.com discourages you from downloading it.

sweetie? I'm not sweet ... like hotmdguy says 😛

1DR_A compared to 1CR ... I'd say "eh" ... it wasn't anything major at all. A bit faster.

thanks jodiaz I will try to set up my stuff and see if it works. I also will try to flash to 1DR_A as soon as I get my USB cable, which did not come with my phone. Cassie: Did you have any of the problems we had before switching to DR? I didn't have the message icon not going away problem ever; my problem is that I never get a voice mail indication. if someone leaves a voice message, my phone tells me it's a text message and when read, the text message reads "_@".
I'm sure I'll be asking for instructions when i get my cable on how to flash as I'm wary of screwing this phone up. Also, I still would love to know how to take the java games presently on my phone off so i don't lose them when I flash and how to get them back on the phon...

are you using T-Mobile? I think they send text messages about voice mail ... that's what I heard.

I don't know about downloading your games, but you can get some games from wap.rousso.net. Follow these directions on uploading Java games:

Cassie you are right. V600 on T Mobile gets a text message. My other V600 on T Mo. does that. But so far the one on ATTW (from NY down to DC and in Miami my VM indicator always shuts off after hangup. At the ATTW site some people noted that they originally had their password programed with a pause after the VM number(for speed purposs) and now after removing the pause and the password all is functioning. Both of my V600s have the same firmware (1CR) as yours. Also I am having the sme issue with the caller ID matching the phone book entry when I recieve a call. I am now trying to get and ATTW flex since it seems that the phone is about to be released, it should be easier to get.

And again (sorry it's for the 4th time, but just not to confuse anyone reading this for the first time) my voice mail problem is not that the indicator doesn't go away after i call voice mail, it that I never get a voice mail indicator at all. When someone leaves me a voice mail, the indication my v600 gives me is a text message and when opened, the message is "_@" This may be a Cingular problem, does anyone else have this problem or at least have cingular in L.A.? I am runing CR firmware and may go to DR_A next week--waiting for my usb cable.
