Sim Card Rejected and Firefox

Does anyone know how to remove the "SIM Card Rejected" notice at the top of my screen?

Also, I have opera mini installed but where can I get firefox mobile? Which works best?

Does anyone know why my Opera mini appears under download? Is there a way to set it as my defaul browser?

Thanks in advance! Happy Holidays

Thanx for the response. pardon my ignorance but deleting the browser icon should resolve which issue? and by deleting that icon...won't I lose my IE mobile browser?

Thanx again

I use to get this error message alot when I would enter the basement of work where I can not receive a phone signal. I went into options/mobile network and changed network technology from global to 1XEV.

It hasn't happened again.

Thanx..I did it and it worked.

Now, regarding the mobile firefox...where and how can I install that and is there a way to set my default browser to opera mini or firefox? i have opera mini but my default browser is still IE....in fact, opera mini is buried in my downloads folder. I can use my opera mini but is there a way to hit the browser icon and it opens opera mini instead or firefox?

Again, thanx in advance.

Hit Options, then advanced options, then Browser and see if you can set the default there.

Otherwise you can highlight the browser you want and hit the Blackberry button and see if it has an option to move your other browser out of that folder

I wasn't aware that it was out yet. I could be wrong but everything I have found says it won't be released for mobile phones until 2010?

i calledverizon and she told me that the SIM card rejection was a glitch for all those who do not pay for the global service and have the sim card active. The rep told me I had two options:
1--to pay for the gsm roaming and get the card activated
or
2--remove the sim card and store it until I need it to travel over seas.
...I told her how about another option. I went into "manage connections", select "mobile network options", then change "network technology" to= 1XEV. Keep "network selection to automatic, then hit the back button to save the changes. Turn your phone off then back on again.
Once you turn your device back on, the SIM Rejected message should be gone. The rep was very nice and said that she now has an opti...
