It's just another Touchscreen...isn't it?

Alright, let's clear an issue up that people seem to not quite get. The vast majority of comments and reviews you will read are comparing the Storm (and this goes for many other touchscreen phones as well) to an iPhone. PEOPLE!!...I don't remember Apple being the ones who invented the touchscreen! I'm not sure who did, but I do remember having had a couple Palm devices back in the day when PDA's & phones were not yet married and guess what? Yep, they were touchscreen devices!

The iPhone, Storm and all the other 'like' phones are touchscreen phones. So what if Apple took touchscreen to the next level? That's how technology moves forward! The Storm's 'click' screen is new to us as well.

I totally agree. you cant say either phone is better, and its not 100% fair to compare to the iphone. its alike and its not. in the end its just another phone.

Quick update:
I don't know why people are so quick to want to compare the Storm to the iPhone. I mean, as of 11/25/08, the Phonescoop.com rating for the iPhone isn't much higher than the Storm's, and I'm looking at the second version, the iPhone 3G! Just take a look at the negative reviews and you'll see the iPhone has plenty of it's own issues!

My whole point is that the only fair comparison between the two phones is that there are both people who like and hate each phone. That's about it though!

I gave the Storm a very positive review. I personally don't even think the lag is all that bad. Yeah, I'd love a software update to fix it, but I can live with it. I can't w...
