New Restocking Fee for phones within 30 day trial

stormy

Be careful because Verizon now charges a restocking fee if you return a cell phone within the 30 day trial period. I know everyone wants to try out the new Storm but be ready to pay if you decide to return it.

A $35 restocking fee will apply if you exchange your device for a different model or color, or if you return your device and within three days purchase another one.

The last time I test drove a car, I did not have to pay a fee for the miles I put on it. 🙄

If you activate a new number or port over your number to Verizon, you have 30 days to make sure you wanna stay. If say after 15 days you are unhappy. IF YOU PORT THE NUMBER to another carrier, you are not charged for the days of service. So, say you sign up on a $40 rate plan and use it 15 days. The charge for $20 of using that line for that amount of days is not charged to you IF AND ONLY IF you port out from Verizon after the "test Drive".

But if you scratch the crap out of the car you testdrive then you dont have to pay either? We have people return phones that are beat to hell with 40 hours of talk time and are supposed to eat the cost because you don't like how the buttons feel. Same thing with warrantys, people bitch about getting a refurbished phone, but what are you giving them? a beat to crap highly used phone. Stuff isn't made for free get over it.

This just proves that the companies are not competing on price.

If you don't like how the corporate stores operate for restocking fees certain stores like Costco offer exchanges and returns without Restocking Fees and I do believe they give you free accessories and activation as well.
