Problems Auto Pairing with Bluetooth?

Does any Curve owners here have any issues with their phone auto pairing with their car bluetooth?? I just got a Kenwood DNX8120 Navigation etc and my Curve wouldnt auto pair! So I returned it and now wondering if maybe it was just that phone I had??? I exhanged my curve for a LG Voyager ehhh regretting my decision!

With my Nissan Versa, the phone had to find the car stereo. I first tried having the car stereo find the phone and that did not work.
Now mine works perfectly.
