There's a reason for pushing it back....

If the rumors are true of Sprint pushing the release date back to June 1, there is a good reason. MONEY!

The Simply Everything Plan promotion ends May 31st. I think Sprint is hoping to lure customers into the plan, then release the Curve after May 31st. If customers want to upgrade or switch to the Curve, then they have to pay full retail price.

Make sense?

The Simply Everything is indifinate, here did you get this information. The Curve might have just been pushed back due them wanting to have more than just one upcoming phone. If the Curve came out now, the Instinct would be the only phone coming out next.

If sprint only has two phones coming out in the next 4 months, they may have more issues than we all think. The might not even be pushed back. Has that been confirmed for sure?

it just seems weird that they would push the release of this phone back for that...Sprint doesn't have time to be messin around with release dates like this.

not necessarily...because I don't think verizon's and att is temporary. So in their marketing campaign might try to make them look like they are on a level playing field.

Go to Sprint's website. Click on The Simply Everything Plan. Scroll down to the bottom and look for the teeny-tiny fine print. Tell me what it says.

I rest my case. Now, I said IF the rumors are true, it would make sense from a monetary standpoint. Lure the customers into the plan. Release the hot phone(s) after the plan offer ends. Make customers pay full retail price to switch to hot phones.

The reason the curve is being pushed back is due to production problems (RIM not Sprint). Does everyone remember what happened to the rumor last winter when it was released. They were in the stores for like two weeks then they were gone for about a month or so. It cost Sprint a lot of biz. They are just trying not to repeat the same mistakes again so I guess its a good thing.

10:25:29 AM ronert Is the Simply Everything $99.99 plan ending MAy 31, 2008?
10:26:11 AM Christina T Yes, that is correct. That is not our official web site, so I am assume since it only a preferred partner that it only gives certain plans and phones.
10:27:19 AM ronert So the Simply Everything plan ends May 31, 2008? And the Curve will not be avaliable until June 1, 2008?
10:27:41 AM Christina T Yes, that is correct.
