I went to buy the Dare about 2 days ago and the phone has gone up $50!!! Does anyone else think this is ridiculous?? would love to know. Verizon told me that the phone being sold for 129.00 was ONLY a promotion from Feb. 12-14. thanks ;)

Sheesh...that's not cool. Keep an eye on it. I'm sure it will come down again. The weird part is, I just got mine on Thursday, 2-12 for $129 (after $50 rebate) but it had been that price for a few weeks prior.

I prefer to get my phones from a VZW company store for many reasons. But if the price stays jacked up and you really want a Dare, Wal-Mart stores have the Dare for $99 with a 2-year contract.

Someone probably realized it's a great phone and raised the price....get it anyway, you'll love it...

If you do the Wal-Mart website it directs you to Let's Talk which is a 3rd party service. I've heard good and bad things about them....be careful. When I suggested Wal-Mart I meant to go in to a store. The ones around here sell Verizon phones & plans back at the electronics department. They had the Dare for $99 with contract the last time I looked.
I would still rather do business at a VZW corporate store. Keep watching for deals.

I was eligible for new every two upgrade and was thinking about the dare, so I was watching the pricing Dec-Feb. My upgrade date was 02/03/09, but I got busy and didn't go in until 2/18. The price had been $129 but when I went in to the verizon store it was $179. They said it was because each month a specific maker is on promotion. It was Lg, but switched to Samsung early february. The glyde/omnia were all 50% off but I didn't want a glyde, so I went home and got on-line for $129 minus my $50 upgrade for new every two.
