My VU keeps shutting off

I have the VU.I have exchanged it once already, but my second one still goes off, and I have to take the battery out, then put it back in inorder to be able to turn it back on. I have an extra memory chip in my phone and I was thinking that was the reason it keeps turning off. Could this be the problem, or should I replace my phone yet again?

Thanks in advance ☹️

I am having the same issue. At first I thought it might be a low charge on my battery or a poor connection of my battery. I now think it is related to the Mobile TV service. I live in an area without coverage. But both of my periods of random shutdowns have been in TV coverage areas. I do not subscribe to the TV service but have tried the demos in two metro areas and each time have had the shutdown issues. Have not had this problem in my home area where there is now TV coverage.

I took my memory card out, and bought another one. The phone shut off again. So I took the card out, and my phone has not shut off since. I just have to find a memory card that is compatible with the VU........ My TV works just fine.

I had the same problem (although I do not use the TV feature). I removed the memory card and it worked fine. I replace the card with a 4GB Sandisk and it has been working properly for about a week now.
