I received my voyager off of a preorder on launch day.. got the v05 update when it came out, and haven't been back. a buddy of mine just got a voyager and has v07... I was just wondering if it breaks the ability to use bitpim for ringers... anyone? 😕

No. It does not prevent you from using Bitpim. I have V07 and use Bitpim. Have it upgraded.

Awesome. Thanks 🙂

I actually got a call from a friend that got a new Voyager with v07 that I had intended installing ringers for.... but to my surprise he went on the net and found bitpim himself (not like him) and confirmed what you said.

I'm looking forward to replacing my icons... 😁

Oh, I see it's better if someone else does your work for you?

1. Type bitpim into the search box at the top of the message list.

2. Read all about bitpim including what it is, how to get it and how it works.

3. Ask any questions not covered in 2) above.

4. Repeat for v07

Why would you ask anyone to retype or summarize dozens of threads already covered when you can answer your own question with 7 keystrokes? Forum etiquette for any user to user forum - read the FAQ and check to see if your question has already been answered before posting.

Like i said, anyone Else?? All of this dialog from you sir is not necessary. Count up all you keystrokes from your 2 messages. And you mean to tell me you couldnt just answer my question with a quick summary. You keystrokes would of been a lot less by just answering my question or not answering at all.

I currently have some ocular issues if it was any of your business that prevents me from doing alot of scrolling thru the dozens upon dozens of messages. You seem to want to flex your E-attitude for some reason when again silence from you would of been golden. If you dont want to respond, dont. Board ettiquette applies to you and your attitude and un-necessary verbiage which is not helpful. Thank you.

Like fulton said, you could have typed bitpim or v07 in the search box in far less time that it took to carp, and you would have had enough of an answer to ask a marginally intelligent followup question. And, you seem to be able to scroll these replies just fine. There's a thread on v07 that answers your question about that still on the first page of results. Do yourself a favor. Don't ask for a fish when someone tells you how to fish. It's unbecoming and really does violate long-accepted forum protocols and decorum.

Hmm, you can scroll all the way through this thread but you can't hit pagedown three times on the first message list screen to read the thread on what v07 is and the comments of several people about it?

I suppose you can't use google at all then? Nor wikipedia?

What good is it going to do to know what bitpim is, given that you'll have to scroll through its web site when you find it?

I just don't think anyone is buying this. If you really want to know what bitpim is anytime soon, just google it.

I dont need you to validate my condition sir and you are really bitter and when you are ready to submit your medical credentials to question or doubt my condition i will be waiting to hear them. Otherwise, keep it technical not personal.

The technical answer is, google bitpim.

Hmm. I read this several times. I do question a "medical condition" that allows you to scroll through this diatribe and complain and follow along and argue and lamentate, but prevents you from hitting the pagedown key three times and scrolling through a very similar thread that directly answers your question. Or that makes you incapable of entering "bitpim" into a google query, but fully capable of finding, scrolling through and remonstrating in an obscure thread in a rather obscure forum and castigating a couple of its members for not catering to your strange sense of entitlement.

And further, I question a claim of some sort of handicap that demands that an entire forum comprised of dozens of individuals must duplicate and clutter a foru...
