How to turn off Alert Sound...EMAILS?
Everytime I get an email from Yahoo! I get a loud beep sound alerting me of the email message. How do I turn that beep off for emails? I didnt see anything in the menus for email alerts. This is NOT a text message, just like a loud beep alert. It only beeps one time. Also how do you sign out of say Yahoo? Im coming from the LG V so I am used to actually clicking the link that would say sign out and exit when I was done with yahoo or aol email.

Go into your yahoo email. Then press the option button. Scroll down till you see settings. Remove the check in the box and save. Hope that helps 🙂

When using email (I am using AIM email), everytime I get a new email it makes an annoying ring.
Per the above advice, I am able to turn the sound off but then it does not tell me I have a new email. Is there anyway to make it just vibrate?

As far a i know the answer is no. And I feel your pain. I wish the e-mail program was like getting a text message instead of that lame e-mail software. I have yahoo and I just login to yahoo mobile to check my e-mail because sometimes I can read attachments from there.

DO you mean you are logging into your yahoo account from the web browswer or from the mobile email application from Get It now? I didn't think you could download and open up attachments on the VOyager. I'm going to be upgrading my phone to the Voyager soon and I want to specifically know if i haev to go thorugh mobile email for that or if i can just go throught the browser. THanks.

You can't open attachments using mobile email. Some web-based clients (such as google mail, which has a mobile page) will try to render some kinds of attachments, but it depends on the service.

ah ok i gotcha. well for me, i just want to have the ability to open up my email. I don't necessarily need mobile email or do you think it's a good decision to have it? Do you like your Voyager so far? Which version software do you have?

I use mine to check email and I don't pay for the mobile email and everything works fine. Got the phone with version 5 and then had #7 put on when that came out. And I love the phone, have had it since 1st week of January.

Do you know what the cheapest plan is for the voyager for unlimited MB usage, internet, VZ Navigator and unlimited texting cause I thought that also includes mobile email as well if you know what I mean.
