How is your voice/call quality?

I'm considering this phone. I'm one who would use it as a phone about 80% and texting 20%, so all the other features I wouldn't really use.

What does matter most to me is the voice quality, and I was wondering what everyone thinks about the voice/call quality on the phone?

Thanks for your input.

Mine is the best I have ever had on any phone. Some are having problems. As with all new phones I guess some are good and some aren't.

Well, I thought I must have gotten a bad one because mine is AWFUL! Sounds like I have cotton stuck in my ear! The sound is that muffled and people are always asking me to repeat myself .

I went to the Verizon store today to see if I just had a bad phone and the phone was fine. As a matter of fact, I made a call from the model on display and it was awful. Then I made a call from the Motorola V9M and it was crystal clear. Just as if the person was standing next to me!

SO, my Voyager is going back and I'm getting the Motorola V9m. Hope you have better luck with the Voyager if you decide to get it. I am like you, I only need the text for about 10-20% and 80% phone. Voyager is not for me! Good luck with your decision!

Sorry to hear about your issues with the Voyager. My Voyager (pre-order) sounds perfect in calls, although it's a little loud (somewhat boxy-sounding) sometimes when I call 611 or am talking to a CS rep.
I would say it's better than my 9900 for call quality. 😁
question: by any chance are you making your test calls to someone with a ****ty GSM phone, the problem could be on their end, GSM is a joke compared to CDMA, just my opinion. 🙄

No, my calls are like that with EVERYONE that I call. Landlines, cellphones, different networks, etc.

I'm happy for all of the people that have good voice quality. I just have always had motorolas and they ALL have always been crystal clear!

Thanks to everyone for their input to my post. The reason I even asked about voice quality was because I tried out the very first model EnV, and thought the voice quality was just not acceptable. It was very "tinny" sounding. I really hated to return it because I loved the text friendly form of the phone.

I ended up settling on the Moto E815 because of it's excellent voice quality. I was hoping LG had improved the voice quality on the Voyager because I still love it's form factor. But unfortunately, voice quality overrides that for me.

Mark, it just sounds like you are getting defective models, or you are in a very poor signal area. Stick with the e815 because it still has the best reception of just about any Vz phone right now. 🙂
I'm just saying that you may not have given the Vgr a chance, but no worries, I'm glad you like your Moto. 😁

I've haven't tried the Vgr yet. That's why I asked about the voice quality in my original post. The LG EnV I was talking about was one of the first models to come out a couple of years ago. That's the one that had the bad voice quality, and that's when I picked up the E815.

I really like the form factor of the Lg. That's why I was hoping it had improved. Hopefully, I'll be trying it out soon.

Based on my experience with the Voyager, I would recommend trying another Voyager phone. I, too, talk more than text. Sound qualiy on my Voyager is perfect--if anything, I have to turn down the volume as it is loud! Such clarity is remarkable considering on my older phones (8300, 8700) in my house (a quasi-dead zone!), I have not been able to have such quality.
