I work for Verizon and found this tidbit of info that really put me in a foul mood, posted on our Info site. Like a ...by the way, we forgot to mention this... man i hate this cause I wanted the phone bad. Well here it is verbatim:

WORD OF THE WEEK: HTML Browser

An html browser allows customers to access the internet from their mobile phones. The Voyager by LG, one of our most anticipated handsets of the holiday season, has a full HTML browser.

Our Broadbandaccess and BroadbandAccess Connect data plans enable customers to access the internet on handsets with complete HTML browsers, such as the Voyager.

BroadbandAcess: With our broadband access service, customers can have data access for Internet browsing, email and intranet acc...

If you get the premium plan, your internet will be included in cost.. i asked the same question and when Verizon Mobile TV comes to my area it 'should be included in the Premium package', said the Rep.

The premium plan does include unlimited net browsing on this and many other handsets however I'm a corporate rep in Las Vegas (where VCast tv is currently offered) and the tv service is NOT included in the premium package.. that is still an additional fee

That's interesting because I have had the Voyager since the 19th with the Nationwide Premium plan, and unlimited Vcast is included and it has been unlimited browsing for me. Also, a district store manager has confirmed that the nationwide plan is all you need, and unlimited vcast or premium plan for unlimited browsing. Maybe you are not aware that the Voyager is not a smartphone so it wouldn't have to use the $44.99 data plan. But, yes you are correct, the tv service is extra.

This is what the premium plan includes:

Unlimited Text, Picture, Video & Instant Messaging
Mobile Email
VCAST VPak
VZ Navigator
Unlimited Mobile Web 2.0
Unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes
Unlimited National Calling
3-way calling
Voice Mail
Caller ID

No where in the description of the Premium plan does it indicate free Vcast Mobile Tv. You do, however, get the first month of Vcast Mobile TV Free. I hope this helps to clear up some confusion.

Could be, but I combed my online account settings to see where I could add it if I wanted it, and couldn't find anything. For now I'm getting it. If they cut it off, not a problem. It's not why I got the phone. Based on my limited observation so far, it has a long way to go to be viable at the prices quoted if it's not part of an unlimited plan. It's more commercials for the service than it is service. I tried it while waiting in a queue this morning and got 3x mobile tv ads and 1 actual story broadcast over msnbc in a 10 minute period. There's a reason I also pay comcast for HD and internet. Vcast is possibly a different story. Short, free 3-5 minute quick casts. But I do wonder why someone would pay $3 a shot for some of the vcast ppv cont...

To add to this, we were all told that Vcast was sufficient for unlimted internet for $15, then we have heard that it had to be the $25 vcast/mobile tv package.

In the above post, there was no details AT ALL about how much it would be for web browsing and Mobile TV. Unlimted email/internet for pdas is $45 with a calling plan. Maybe you can get just internet for $15 or $25 but Verizon hasnt even told this to its own employees or during the online training module that we had to take.

I think you misunderstand what that says:

the 59.99 Broadband Access connect is if you want to tether it to your laptop.

you only need vcast or premium plan to view the full HTML web without extra charge. as far as email you can uss the Mobile Email app.

because content is so rich, you will need those packages to prevent high MB charges.

The only bad news is that this guy is either lying or doesn't know what he is talking about. lol. $59.99 is the tethering price. Even Pda's and smartphones don't cost $59.99, and they have a more detailed and more functional browser than the Voyager, yet they are $44.99 or $29.99 for the Pearl. Guys don't worry, Verizon stores and reps all confirm that you just need the Premium Nationwide plan, or $25 vcast and vcast tv package, or the $15 vcast package for unlimited data on the Voyager.

I already stated in my 2nd message that its $45 with a calling plan. so read more than just the first message next time. Im simply quoting what it says on Verizons Info manager. They outline the Broadbandaccess, which I put in my first post, and in the same Verizon post, they then go into Broadbandaccess Connect, which of course IS the $59.99 for unlimted and tethering. They went into both options which is going against what we have all, including myself, have been told in that Vcast would be enough for unlimited access.

Everyone, please do not listen to what "art23ncsu " has been saying, because it is completely false about $44.99 or $59.99 plans needed. In fact, plenty of people have been using it, and none of them are subcribed to the $44.99 or $59.99 plans.

🤣 Ok my friend if u work for Verizon then you know the difference between broadband access and data connect.
Pda's used unlimited data for $45 to access the internet thru the device. data connect allows you to use ur device as a modem any pda and certain phones can do this.
the voyager is a regular phone with an enhanced browser. it's gonna used v cast or mobile tv package for unlimited data under the new nationwide plans. they may include tv service into this plans just for this phone.
Please read carefully and do your online trainings before you decide to speculate online.

You aren't going to want to rely on that method of paying because of the full HTML browser on this phone. The HTML will eat though that like nothing and you will get socked with huge data bills. That is why it would be advantageous for everyone, at the least, to get the V Cast plan for $15 and have the certain peace of mind that comes with knowing you won't be shocked at your next bill in the mail!

Umm.... you work for Verizon ehh? Janitor? or New?

1. >This sentence has been sensored.... BEEEEEP<

2. It still runs off the Mobile Web service... which with a new plan is $1.99/Mb... Essentially if you view 50 or so web pages then thats appx 1 Mb. If your grandfathered into the Standard plans before Nov 1st... then you pay $5 per month.... NOT $60.00! That is for DATA DEVICES ONLY! The Lg 10000, as giving as it is, is NOT a data device nor a PDA. It's a glorified cell phone!

3. You can tether the Voyager with the cable that it comes with and get BroadbandAccess... That is the only way that you'd have to subscribe to BroadBand Access. (Just like with most of VZW's other 'newer' devices.

If bkw79 and raging demon would actually read 2 of the top 3 posts of this topic before posting you would see that I...

was also aware and excited about getting unlimted Web browsing on this awesome phone for $15 a month. I did take online training for it. We were all told $15 on top of that, just like everyone else on this site.

All that I simply did was post what was on Verizons Infomanager site verbatim that is only readable by employees. It was shocking to see this when logging in this morning as it seemed like a total switch-a-roo and something Verizon always seems to do.

Also bkw79, Broadband Access is NOT tethering..BroadbandAccess is $45 for internet web browsing on a phone..sorry to have to correct you. BroadbandAccess C...

ok everyone relax.

So infomanager may have some confusing info on it.
lets get some facts officially straight:

BroadbandAccess is a data card = 59.99 / month with a contract
BroadbandAccess Connect is tether from a phone (non-pda) = 59.99/ month no contract.
PDA/ Smartphone unlim email and web = 44.99 / month
Blackberry email and web = 30/month BIS only

The voyager is none of these since the voyager is not a PDA. Only capable of BBA connect if you want. You only need VCAST or Premium plan to cover.

Now all you VZW employess go back to your corners and take a chill pill. Just enjoy the launch of this sweet phone!!

I'm calm, I just hated that art23ncsu came on here spewing such false info that is so obviously incorrect. People come on here doing it all the time, and it can often mislead people and even turn people away. I could care less about what he thinks he saw in info manager, that info, and what he said was clearly wrong, so it shouldn't have even been said. I don't even work for Verizon, and I knew that what he said was wrong, yet, he posted it anyway. But, after I cleared it up, its good that others that had common sense came on the back up the accurate info that I gave.

As a side note. this phone was being hidden by Verizon from media and consumers for this same reason. SPECULATION same as with the Iphone. But there was no info on this phone given to employees till recently. My informants tell me again nationwide plan required. Vogayer=nationwide plan. vcast is HIGHLY recommended due to full browser. Phone is Tv capable hence Mobile tv select package covers both Tv service and vcast.

Should you purchase the Voyager, your best bet is to activate the device on Verizon's Premium Plan which provides customers wiht unlimited access to the mobile internet, unlimited access for shopping V Cast music store, and unlimited access to video clips from several popular television shows. The Premium Plan also includes unlmited access to Verizon's VZ Navigator program, unlimited access to Mobile Email, and unlimited text, picture, video, and instant messaging. The $59.99 broadband access connect covers the full HTML browser. Keep in mind that The Voyager is a standard handset first and not a PDA. Should you need access to an HTML browser your best bet is to purchase an air card for your lap top. Option 1A would be to purchase a PDA...

So here goes: verizon just changes all their plans which now include mobile web for free. however, if u use vcast or mobile web, or navigator, or any application which uses data u will be charged per megabyte ($1.99/mb). the reason they did this is because of all the new ones that will be coming out with full HTML broswing. so u think verizon is giving u something for free? there not....cause if u want the voyager your going to wind up spending $15/month for unlimited data usage. tethering on a phone is $59.99 and $15 on a pda or blackberry. also this is not the only ...

Typical Verizon my behind.

I have 3 phones on a nationwide select family plan. That gives me unlimited text, pix, flix to EVERYONE (you can't even MMS from an iphone.. so in comparison, the iphone in this case is N/A, kiddo).

Anyway, I only pay $25/mo. for unlimited internet and mobile television. This is yet another post, by another person that wants the voyager to fail.

Don't go making your "icrap is better" argument based on bogus details.

I have:

-Main plan (700 mins/month, unlimited txt/mms)
-Additional two lines
-Ringback on two of the lines
-Total insurance on two of the lines (accidents AND defects)
-Unlimited internet and TV on one line (voyager)

I just priced ALL of this with a new plan on Verizon and it cam...
