I spoke with our LG rep and he said that this is NOT the replacement or upgrade for the enV. He stated that there will be an upgrade for the enV sometime after the first of the year.

That's not surprising. I've been telling everyone its not the enV upgrade but no everyone says it is. The Voyager is the LG Prada variant that everyone was waiting for. Verizon just made it better by adding the enV's keyboard since the Iphone's touchscreen keyboard sucks. I can't wait to see everyone's reaction when the actual enV upgrade comes out. Peaople should call the Voayager, the Verizon Prada. ๐Ÿ˜ก

As far as I now a quarterly review seminar last week at the corporate office of VZW the slide for the Voyager stated it was an upgrade to the enV. To be released between the 16-21 of Nov, and i believe the price will be 299 is what the are PLANNING not a set in stone price.

Just so everyone knows, the 11/18 is the date the voyager will be online, and the 21st is the date it will be in stores. For instance the Pearl will be up for purchase tomorrow on the VZW site, and will be in stores next week.

All this hoopla about the price is ridiculous. 299.99 is definitely not the price. I think people will be "pleasantly" suprised.

I am pretty sure that the price will be $299, but this is the time of the year that LG has special pricing and as such they will probably (hopefully) be dropping the price on this masterpiece as soon as it is released!
So then we can be hoping for another $50-100 off the handset which will make it more than reasonably priced for this phone!

can the phone multitask music? meaning play music while sending txt messages, browsing the web or other features of the phone like teh chocolate phones can do?

Some people thought that it could. But after looking at the spec sheet, and hearing first-hand info from people that have used the phone, the consensus is that like the phone can not multi-task music like the Choco player. โ˜น๏ธ

The internet package will be $1.99 for 1MB of data. If you get the voyager you will have to switch to the New Nation wide plan where you get mobile web for free. In this case if you have a premium plan then you are all set my friend. V-cast is the only internet you need for this phone. You will not have to pay $44.99 for unltd internet.

Phone is Pre-order 11/8 with it's full release scheduled for 11/21; originally it was 11/18 but they pushed it back.

Pricing is $299 after $50 rebate on a 2yr agreement.

I do not know the full retail price.

verizon is not stupid, they rolled out their new plans in time for the voyager. now that mobile web comes with all new plans and they charge $1.99/mb of data usage and the voyager having a more elaborate web access than any other phone prior, can only mean one thing people will be adding either vcast or premium plan pricing to their account as with these two, data usage is freeee! always remember, when u think verizon is losing $5 from giving mobile web free, they are making $15+ in the long run
