Has anyone had this issue, I have a customer that isn't so happy about upgrading the phone and I cannot seem to find anything out there on how to resolve this issue. When the phone is receiving the call you can normally push the volume button to silence it (when the phone is closed) and when its open there is an option to dismiss or to silence, it cannont be silenced inside either! Are they ways to fix this? Thanks

YES! My daughter is on phone #3 in less than 30 days with this problem. Sprint keeps swapping it out but there seems to be no fix. I think I'm going to contact LG directly - or she's going to get a totally different phone. Have you had any luck with a solution?

Yes, I have the Muziq. I realize that the phone SHOULD work that way - silence the ringer either on outside or the quiet button inside. My POINT is that the last 3 phones have been defective. I've read forums where others have had this problem with the phone as well. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck getting it fixed. I've contacted LG directly as Sprint can't seem to fi...

I just know mine works ok. Volume up down open or closed. The quiet button works.

Only complaint I have is the fact you have to open it up to adjust the volume unless you turn keylock off..

I have learned that the silence buttons no longer work when you are using an mp3 ringtone. I'm not sure if this is the case with ringtones purchased from sprint. But when I made my own it caused the silence buttons not to work. I change my ringers to m4a (AAC) type and now the silence buttons wotk fine. The problem is probably from a firmware bug. Try changing the ringer to a "stock" ringer that comes with the phone and then power off and then power it back on, and the silence button should work again. Too bad mp3 ringers don't work, but m4a do, so try that. 🙂

Kind of off topic but where did you get software to make your own ringers? I would love to be able to download it as i don't have to many ringers (that i like) to choose from with sprint. Thanks!
