Lockups or many resets with i760?

Someone wrote in the review section that there i760 had so many lockups requiring resets that they are returning it.

Anyone else experience this or other issues where you would consider returning it?

I am a prospective buyer and have been looking (waiting) for this, the 6800 and Cingular 8925

Thanks so much

I have had it for three days and have yet to have any lock ups. They obvioulsy dont understand that you have to use the task manager to close programs when they are running to many at once. 🤤

Just so you know Mr. CARMAN1992 I have had almost every PDA that Verizon puts out. I know how to use task manager and memory to close out the programs. Even as I type my wirelesssync doesn't work and I don't see it in my task manager or memory as a running program but it is hung up!!! So Mr. CARMAN1992 how would handle this as it is not syncing? When I click on start>wireless sync all I see is a colorful circle for about 3 seconds then it goes away!!! Your instructions would be greatly appreciated!! And please dont tell me your going to do a soft reset??? And yes I am the one that wrote the review so my experience with PDAs should not be questioned

A few questions to help troubleshoot?

Did you install any 3rd party apps?
If so, what apps and are they WM6 compatible?

What was the last WM device you were syncing to your PC and when?

Do you have any software firewalls on your PC that could be blocking the wireless sync? (I am assuming you are trying to sync w/ VZW Wireless Sync, not a hosted Exchange server)
If so try turning off the firewall completely and test again.

Have you tried doing a soft reset? (just kidding) 🙂

Ha I like the soft reset comment 🙂

The thing is that the PC Monitor for wireless sync is up to date and when I check the wirelesssync website all my data is on there. The phone is hung up and when I just do a soft reset it all syncs up again. I think I got a Lemon so I am calling Verizon to get a new phone shipped out.

On your phone do you have to do a soft reset everytime you add software? All the software I have added is WM6 compatible.

Thanks for the troubleshoot.
