I have vista on my laptop. I bought a data cable on ebay using as search term "data cable VX8700".
I bought one from ECITYWIRELESS FOR AROUND $10 and it works great. I use it to synch my outlook calendar with my calendar on my VX8700.
They also gave great technical support.
