Transferring Contacts - cable or bluetooth
I like the 8700, but I’m frustrated at not being able to accomplish the one task that I thought would be possible with the expanded Bluetooth profiles this phone offered: being able to transfer about 600 phone contacts into the phone from my Entourage address book.
I use a MacBook with Tiger, and am using Entourage . . . although I'm open to using Mac's Address Book and Mail instead, if it will help me accomplish this goal. (I also have an HP tablet PC, with Outlook, and could use that for the transfer if it would work better.) I'm also open to getting a phone-to-computer cable, if one is available for this purpose, and if Bluetooth is not a workable solution.

Mike I don't know if you ever got an answer to this problem. I figured better late than never right? I got my 8700 as soon as they hit the market here in Chicago and ran into the same problem only not nearly on the same scale as you, only 150 in my book guess I'm not so popular. I had already been using the Data Pilot Universal Pro system purchased at Best Buy for all my friends and families phones. I was disappointed but not surprised that I could not transfer all the data from my old 8000 to the 8700 using the same system. I finally broke down and paid the corporate VZW store around the corner to transfer the names for me. I then mined all the information from the old 8000 using the Data Pilot and was able to use websites to e-mail the inf...
