I'm a graphic designer & do marketing. All these big giants dump all the great high-end phones into the overseas market. Korea, China, Japan, UK, etc. You would think there would be a hell of a lot more money to be made in the USA. They must make their phones, as electronics, dirt cheap and probably sell them the same over there. What do we get here, bargain basement. Maybe some day they'll wise-up.

a lot of countries pay retail for their phones, they don't do this subsidy crap with a contract so those markets are used to paying out the a$$ for the latest and greatest where the majority of the US population wants free or cheap phones or heavily discounted ones, i think that is issue.

It seems that overseas, people look for and buy a phone they want. In the U.S., people look for a buy into a provider they want, then have to choose a phone that the provider will allow. That's why you see advertisements for Verizon or cingualar (AT&T) more often then for Nokia or Motorolla. That's my opinion.

I just think if us was more open to paying 300+ for phones newer models would get here quicker..The manufacturer has no need to rush phones whne the carriers put such heavy restrictions on the phones
