Name Dial
I have this phone from Cingular. When I press the voice key to do a name dial it automatically activates speakerphone. Is this normal and is there a way to change it?

Ok, sorry to ask a stupid question, but are you pressing the right key? The side key on the right of the phone, not the right soft key on the keypad? The right side key is voice dial by default, and I can find no option to change it, mine works fine...possible you both have defective phones?

I'm having the same problem and contacted a couple of vendors who had no idea why this happens. Motorola needs to straighten this out as it is annoying to have to turn the speakphone off every time you use name dial.
I have also had name dial repeatedly fail to recognize "mobile" while driving my car and had to eliminate the email address of the individual to make it work. The volume is also poor when I am driving and cannot be turned up higher than "7".
Very disappointing.
