yea as they all get the pink slip. They are not the first w/ a 2 megapixel camera, and I have 1 GB of storage on my A920 since 2004. Another too little too late phone imho. I hate the fact that it has no microsd, w. the price scale you can get a razr and buy multiple 2 gb microsd cards. I don't see this being a big seller at all. Nothing to gloat about

Opinions are like armpits, eveyone has them and they usually stink. The A920 has been able to have a gig of information/music and have the same form factor since Summer of 2005. Its called a comparison. Try to make a more intelligent post next time. Your beloved Sanyo is yet to be innovative in any way. Thus there bankruptcy case.

This is supposed to be the big bad new phone from sprint sanyo? They had all this time to leap frog the other guys and still can't. The 990 remains superior.

34MB of internal memory for a phone is weak! They really dropped the ball by advertising this as a 1GB phone.

I wouldn't go that far! They are good not the best. If they were the best they would be holding onto that division!

Just because they aren't profitable doesn't mean they are the best phones that Sprint has sold. I mean, look back over the years. 4500, 4700, 4900, 4920, 4930, 5300(first US camera phone), 5400, 5500, 5600, 6200 (first thin phone in the US), 9000, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, M1, 9000. Quite a list. They just don't make phones for other carriers becuase their networks aren't up to their standards, so they aren't making as much money as they would like.

Sanyo 4500 was amazing, seen quite a few good ones from Sanyo, been a few years since the last one I saw good from them. Since 2004.

I don't push anyone exclusively, I go from model to model. I like some LG, some Motorola, some Samsung. and some Sanyo. I am even op to the Pantech/UT Starcom line. Just so many people are hoping to see something from Sanyo they call every turd down the pike a Godsend. I am just calling it as I see it. The next in a line of unimpressive phones

LOL the Samsung A920 is a good phone, but not compared to the M1 especially if you use your phone as much as me, the A920 just tends to disapoint me more each day. 6 months with it and I'm sorry I ever got it.

I'll probably be getting the M1 in the next couple of days. I've currently been using the A920 for the past 2months. It's ok, but I hate the way Samsung does their t9 to where you can't edit. My battery dies easily and the signal is just ok IMO.

If Sanyo made the M1 just a little thinner and an available slot of memory, they'd get 2x the customers IMO.

I agree, I love the A920, one of the best phones I have used ever. The samsung Was not buggy, not as buggy as most EVDO phones have been.

I could buy 8 4GB cards, and use My Treo 650, or I could just buy a 30GB iPod. Or I can just listen to the 260 songs that I really listen to, that I have on the 1GB card, and not have to carry anything other than my phone. And, yes, I can play games, then check e-mail, then browse the web, all while listening to music.

That's not the freaking point. People want ...

The A920 would be a good comparison if it wasn't another buggy Samsung. Oh, and how do you listen to music while surfing the web on the A920 or use bluetooth stereo headphones, and where is your FM transmitter?

If you have had your phone as long as you say, you probably paid $149.99 for it, and well, $199.99 for the M1 with all these additional features plus knowing that you have a Sanyo which traditionally gets better signal, worth every penny!

Oh, and BTW you're A920 wasn't even approved by the FCC until Jul 1, 2005 so I don't think you've had it since 2004 🙂 Oh, and the 1GB micro SD wasn't announced until Jan 2006. Hmm, I'm confused.

Summer of 05 was what I already corrected myself on before you posted this. A simple typo. and the 1GB transflash has been around since the 920 October 05 when I got mine.
