Nokia N75
On Cingular Website
Good News! The N75 is now on the Cingular web site. The online price is $199.99. I know it has been long in coming, but I have been waiting patiently. Now its here.

I stopped at a larger Cingular store at 10:00 this morning wondering if I'd be able to see this new phone in person, but they don't have it yet. The guy who "helped" me didn't even know about the phone and suggested, "We have the 6126 and that's a flip phone. Are you sure the N75's a Cingular phone?" hahahahaha. Morons. You think since he works in the store, he'd be aware of what's on Cingular's price sheets.

I ordered mine today.
Order went through no problems as an upgrade for my current phone, no plan changes....
I had to get my account password reset so I asked the Customer Care person about this phone and wanted her to verify they had stock on this phone.
She did not seem very knowledgable.
She put me on hold twice and 'checked'...she stated they have no stock on this phone......we will see soon!
I will let you know when the order status page shoes something about my order....or not...

I just ordered the phone online as well, and i called to add insuranc on the phone, so i asked the Rep and she called the online store and they advised her that the phone is in stock ! so i'm not sure which rep is correct but we shall see 😁

I just got off the phone again with Cingular Customer Care, spoke to Glenda.
Glenda seemed very knowledgeable and spoke to someone in the E-warehouse, supposedly the place were online orders come/get shipped.
Story is --- they HAD stock but a lot of orders were already placed and they are temporarily out of stock.
They guesstimate stock again on Tuesday or Wednesday. I am to get a call on Wednesday with a status regarding my order.
I will check my order status online via the Cingular site and see if it changes, if it does I will post again.
Otherwise I post on Wednesday with the status.
I am only posting exactly what I was told. I can not confirm the validity of it the information any further than this.

I called Customer Care (or whatever department I was routed to) and he said his department didn't have any in stock, and the only department that had stock was the website. He then transferred me to someone else who said she had stock, but couldn't place the order because it wasn't in her system, and to call back in a couple hours. I went ahead and ordered on the website.

After talking with several CSR's from several different channels, it appears that the only group that current can order the phone is from cingular.com ... I got a rep to do that for me since I wasn't near a internet connection. I must have got in before the stock ran out. I've got my order confirmation and should get my phone Monday or Tuesday ... My order was completed at 11:15am.

It's gone for me also, and I was able to order about 90 minutes ago. I think they take it off the website when they don't have inventory. Hopefully my order gets filled!

I ordered mine from Cingular.com at 11:30PM, central time (Baton Rouge), Thursday night(this converts to 12:30AM Friday Eastern). And now the order status page for the handset states that it is BACK ORDERED. So even though I ordered it last night, I still have the same back order status as some are getting that just ordered it at mid-day. I'll let you know how it works out.
