Oh, man, Cingular provides yet another reason why I buy unlocked phones:
The bad news? The delays appear to have been caused at least in part by AT&T's request to remove the ability to stream any music not being hawked by the carrier itself or one of its partners -- Yahoo! and Napster, that is. Worse yet, there will allegedly be no ability to add apps to do so (at least for a few days after launch, at which point we suppose it'll be unceremoneously cracked for all to enjoy).

Honestly, I stopped believing anything I see posted on forums a long time ago. Boy Genius Report also reported back in January that the N75 was due out in February, and we all know how that turned out. So until someone gets their hands on a final, released version of this phone, I'm not going to believe anything I read. And until it's on Cingular.com or in a store, it's not released.

You can't really fault the rumor sites - they have a far better record than any carrier. Boy Genius Report has historically been quite accurate with regard to other releases, and it's not at all unlike Cingular to push back something after already revising a release date. Yeah, there are lots of wanna-be insiders who post BS in the forums here & on other sites, but it's not like correct predictions haven't been made on the internet before.
I agree, though - the delay is frustrating. I've been hemming & hawing over other phones, but this is the one I want, and it's annoying to have to wait for it.
