Palm Treo 750
750 memory?
I had a Treo 700W - had 60mb of "shared" memory - which meant that you really have 30 meg to work with. It was always running short on memory. I see the 750 also has 60mb of "shared" memory. Does anyone know if this is the same as the 700W?

I know I must be missing the big picture, will this unit suffer the same fate as the others due to lack of available memory?
Palm's web site shows "128MB/60MB persistent user storage, non-volatile flash". Is this where you're getting your numbers?
I am trying to get as much information on this unit before I drop that much money on it. Excuse my ignorance.

I do not have an answer to this question about treo 750 memory 128mb/64mb on Palm Treo web site. The phone I have show in the start/setting/system/memory area a total of 65.69mb memory. This top of the phone may max. out at 128mb hard storage, like on a computer that had 128mb RAM or hard drive. The 2GB expansion card is like a removable hard drive. I DO NOT KNOW!!! Call Palm about this information. 🙂

hey ozzie, I installed Goodlink for my email and I still have 44.33 MB left on my storage memory. All these including all my contacts, calendar and notes. All my pics and music are stored in the expansion card. You should not have any problems unless you start loading 3rd party software like crazy. The program memory is a different story. You will need to clear the program memory throughout the day to make room. When you go to any application, it keeps running in the back ground even though you already closed the app. I guess that's how WM works. I clear the program memory at least 3 to 4 times a day, other wise the unit slows down. You can do this by going to settings>system>memory>running programs>stop all. It works for me.

OK, OK... I went out and bought one- the TREO 700W only has 25 meg of user memory available, the 750 has 50 meg available. so it's about the same as the TREO 700P, which is good.
