Why is this model exclusive to T-Mobile?

Jan 29, 2007, 10:45 PM
Cingular also uses GSM so why isn't it available via them? I'm currently w/ Cingular and live in SE where coverage via T-Mo is spotty, so would prefer to stay where I am.
Is it possible to buy the T519 unlocked and get service via Cingular?

It could be a T-Mobile exclusive for a number of reasons but it appears Cingular may be getting an improved version of it nonetheless. The Samsung a727.

I have not read of an official carrier but it has the Cingular interface. It has HSDPA 3G, the Trace does not. I am looking forward to this phone.

The moderators of this site did a brief review of the handset from CES.

Hey, you can always try to unlock it. But be careful, and don't brick your phone like I did. Luckily, I gave a really good story and got a replacement shipped FREE from TMobile.
