i was using a transflash card in my v710 and installed it in my krzr. what i would like to know is why my krzr will not recognize any of the files that were already on my card. videos were in 3gp format, which was required to play on the 710 and i also had mp3s on the card too but they don't show up anywhere on my krzr. am i suppose to convert these files to something else? can anybody help me know what i'm doing wrong? i'd appreciate it.

They are different formats. I found this out after doing some PI work (no thanks to Motorola). On the KRZR K1m it locked the phone up completely. I copied all of the old files off of the transflash to my computer and reformatted the transflash. I placed it into my KRZR and let it set up the folder system. I then pulled it out of the phone went back to the computer and copied my files from the old shared folder that was established by my V710 into the new folders. It worked like a charm. It is my understanding that ringtones is another story. Good Luck.

I shut the phone down prior to pulling the card out to prevent damaging the card. I have read that the transflash is a good chip but not as robust or hot-swappable as the common SD. Not sure if this is true, but I do not care to find out.

You need to pull the card out of the phone. Insert it into your computer (I have printer that accepts memory cards) when the drive shows up in your "My Computer", right click on it and hit format. I check the quick box. After this it will be empty. Insert it back into you phone and it will automatically set-up the folders. Pull it back out of the phone and go back to your computer. Drag the files from the old "shared" folder. Copy your pictures to the new picture folder. Copy you music to the...

I had no trouble loading music into the memory card, but the movies I loaded (.mov) didn't show up.

Anyone have luck with movies? (VZW K1m)

There's Actually A Program By Xilisoft That Can Convert AVI, DVD's, And Other Movie Formats Into The Files That The Phone Can Read (It's 3g2 Format) It Works Good. I've Put Differnt Types Of Movies On My Phone And The Quality Is Rather Good If You Put It Into Full Screen Format. The Phone Will Only PLay 3g2 FIles But Nothing Else. Hope THis Helps You Some.
