Sony Ericsson W810

Does anyone know if the GSM audio interference problem, typically associated with Sony Ericsson phones, was fixed in this model. I'm an Audio engineer and I have a CDMA phone now that has no problems with the Audio Equipment. Has anyone tested this phone around audio equipment and not gotten pops or clicks in the speakers?

I picked up the 810 from Cingular yesterday. The phone is great -- camera, EDGE, music. It's all pretty good.

One issue though, the screen dims after just a few seconds and then goes black. I don't think there is a way to extend it. Plus there is no status light so you have no idea if its on or not once the screen goes black.

Anyone found a way around this?

I use a Mac, and transfered the songs from Itunes to the 810 like a disk, and only about half of them show up. If I look in the My Stuff/Sounds folder, all of the songs are there, but the ones that won't show up in the Walkman player have a blue diamond next to them. I thought that these were the ones that I purchased through Itunes(which won't show up) but some of them are songs that I burned from CD into Itunes. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Does anyone know if you can use the W810i MP3 player on a bluetooth handsfree? I tried with a Motorola HS820 and it didn't worked, but i don't know if it's because of the handsfree limitations or the phonecannot play music over bluetooth.

I just got this phone last night, and I was wondering if it possible to turn off the volume for the camera? I found how tochange the sound, but there was not an option for no sound. If anyone could let me know that would be awesome.

I recently purchased the W810i and synched it with Outlook. Each item in my schedule is listed in Outlook as an "all day" event.

When I use the phone to review my schedule and click on the day view, it shows that day's event and the prior day's event. If you press on the event itself, it does show the correct date.

I am assuming that I will have to change each all day event to an event with a specific time. Is there a way to have the phone specifically show each individual day without overlapping the prior day's even in the "day view?"

I just bought the W810i from cingular and it came with a 128mb memory stick. I'm planning on buying another memory stick and was wondering if there was like a max or a limit to the memory stick i could purchase in regards to size. Can I use anything even a 2Gb stick?

I was wondering what the maximum number of pixels per inch is for a jpg file to use as a wallpaper for my w810. Would it be web resolution, 72 or 96? Or could it handle something higher like 200. I know the width and height has to be 176 X 220.

Also, has anyone made a template in PSD format that they'd like to share?

Just got this phone and it ROCKS!! Noticed one inconvienence though. I cannot copy the music I bought directy from the iTunes store onto my phone. I'm sure its because Apple has a propietary file type, but has anyone found a work-around for this. Thanks in advance.

Sony Ericsson W810i – Cingular will be launching the Sony Ericsson W810i Oct 3, 06. The SE W810i is a great entertainment device and includes advanced features like a 2 MP camera and video player/record, Walkman music player and IM.

Guys, I am waiting for this phone to come out so I can get rid of my SLVR. (too old for me now) But I keep hearing that this phone has a low earpiece! This is one of the main things I didn't like about the SLVR.
Can someone please tell me if this phone is any louder than the SLVR? Same? 😳 Lower??? 😲 I would really appreciate it.

Anybody knows where is the Flight Mode Function on SE W810i phone? It claims to have it but I cant find it. I need to know cuz I'll be in a plane for several hours. Thanks

does it control/learn other common IR Sony
devices like TVs, DVD players, Home HiFi, etc?
If not, what does the IR do & work with?

When loading videos onto the Pro Duo cards
can it play back .mpg .avi .wmv files? And
is there a 220x176 limit on video size, or
does it just condense to fit on screen?

has anyone flashed/unbranded cingular's w810 yet through wotonserver.com? I'm serriously considering it.
I just don't want a crippled version of a phone that I waited so long for...I want the real deal.

Are not crippled on the Cingular branded w810. Only thing I see so far is the lack of pop email. Everything else works fine.

I should sell my nokia 6682 for this phone.

I like the size better than the 6682 but i LOVE nokia phones.
I really like the e62 but not looking to go that big.
Had the 6230 before the 6682, loved the size and sound, how does the w810 sound compair?? (to either)

I'm unable to find a carrying pouch for my new W810i. Preferable one that swivels and I can plug in the headset too.
