Samsung SGH-D807 / D806

Hello everyone,

i'm new this forum and enjoy the great ideas and insights...

i apologize for my question being pretty basic, but i never understood how the SIM card works... especially when using it to save contact info... also am confused about the "location 1, 2, 3 etc" in the contacts section...

any ideas?

I just got this phone in white and i do love it, just confused about one thing.

The pics seem to come out squished looking, like they are stretched and make everything look like its in a "skinny" mirror.

Is this normal or is something wrong with my camera? 😕 TIA.

putting their own java games on this phone. most of my other phones like my w600 i send the file to the other folder then install it but this phone i cant seem to do that.

has anyone been sucessful in putting java games on this phone from their own desktop or laptop.

How can you turn your mp3's into ringtones????

Hello I am trying to connect my 807 to a pair of motorola ht820 headphones for the MP3 player. The devices can see each other and connect. I have a little headphones icon on my phone below the battery meter. However I cannot get any sound to come out of the headphones. Everything is still coming out of the phone speaker. Has anyone done this or have any suggestions. Thanks! Phil

It makes me so mad how different this phone is to most, it has no 1/8 inch headphone jack, so you cant use regular headphones with it or hook it up to better speakers for the mp3 player, i'm looking for an adapter that converts this odd samsung charger plug to a female or male 1/8 inch sterio plug, has anyone seen one???

I'm really just probably gonna try to make one.

There is a freeware package called SUPER@ that quickly and simply converts almost any type of video file into other formats that will play on the D807 (also converts for playback on PSP, Ipod, and a bunch of other devices.

Use the Nokia GP3 format for the D807. I used the default settings and they work fine.

I tried converting some Nero MP4 videos. They converted, but the audio gets out of sync. When I started with VOB files I didn't have that problem. ALso the mpeg1 files that I get from recording TV on my PC convert without problems.

how many songs can go on the 512 mb card?? and can u transfer songs using the bluetooth USB?

I cant seem to get mine back out...... The only way the card fits in is contacts side up. Am i doing something wrong or what? The thing refuses to come back out.

Anyone know where we can get another headset? The earbuds of the ones that came with my phone are too big for me, so they keep falling out!!! >_<

How come I can only have 20 people in each group??

I know I can assign a different ring tone for each person, but it gets tough keeping track, id rather have all 100 of my firends from college or whatever in the same group...

I had a siemens S66 before and never had a problem with groups of 150 people/numbers

Does anyone know how to remove date and time from wallpaper in D807. It has became pain for me. Whenever i save any picture as my wallpaper, most of the part is covered by date and time. I want to remove this from wallpaper.

COR Cingular stores got a surprise today. Some received the D807 in a pearl white color.

Help. A coworker just got this phone, and I'm trying to help her out. I've searched the past posts, but can't find an answer. Can you put ringtones on the micro SD card, instead of on the phone?

I'm having a bit of difficulty downloading images. When I attempt to do so either via bluetooth or putting images on the micro card, the thumbnails on the phone look like a butterfly. When I attempt to view them, I simply get a blue question mark.
If I upload the same image (to funformobile.com, for example) and then download it to the phone, it shows up just fine.
Any help will be appreciated.

I just bought this phone and I like it but I have a problem with the Bluetooth connection to a Motorola HS801 headset. When I am using the headset and dial a number everything works fine but when I receive a phone call I hear the incoming sound on the headset, I press the answering button but I am not able to speak or listen through the headset I have to speak and listen through the phone. Once the call is finished I hear a tone on the headset. I have used this headset with a Motorola Razor and with a Nokia, without any problem. This is my second Samsung SGH-D807 (I went to Cingular and change the first one hoping that it would solve the problem but it didn’t). Does anybody have a clue of how to fix this problem? 🤭

Has anyone tried a gigabyte transflash card in this phone yet, ive read that it only supports 512.

Saw a Samsung ad in USA Today back page of Section C and it had a white d807, an Alltell model and the new one for T-Mobile. The white d807 was branded Cingular and everything. Any word?

Bought my wife this phone and over all love it.
She noticed her daily / wake up alarm ,re-set's
it self to a default of 8:45 p.m .
Any one else experience this?
