Samsung SGH-D807 / D806

I got a memory card for my samsung d807 and ran into some trouble. I couldn't find any forums or anything on samusungs website to help. I finally figured out whats going on and wanted to put it up here in case someone else runs into this. Samsung says this phone supports a 1gb card but they recommend not putting anything bigger than 512mb, otherwise performance will be affected. I put a 1gb card in the phone with some pictures on it, but when you try to look at anything on the card it would give an error message something like "access failure please reinsert memory card", i put the card in several different computers and the pictures were on there just fine, nothing wrong with the card. When i select "Move to" in the menu and select phone it beeps and says "Failed". What the hell? Please someone help me

When I push Menu on the main page.....Is there any way to make it in List form rather than Thumbnails of the Sections? It'd be way simpler. If not, that's okay, but I'd love it if there was!

Sorry if this has been answered before but... someone gave me this phone and i unlocked it to use with my current carrier (t-mobile). Does anyone know if i have to enter any special settings to get my t-mobile internet to work on this phone? When I had my SE k800i I found the settings on the SE website but i can't seem to find anything on this phone...

I can't find where I can enable the phone to automatically answer calls when I have the bluetooth headset connected (Motorola HS850). It's not mentioned in the D807 manual nor in the HS850 manual.

When I plug this phone into my WinXP Pro computer via USB, it wants to search for drivers, then it says that it could not be installed, something about WMC ACM 1.0 APP.

My T-809 (very similar) works fine on any and all computers (2 at home, 2 at work), and appears to Windows as a mass storage device where I can cut/copy/paste files to and from the MicroSD card.

What gives?! How do I make this new D-807 behave the same.

Also, the T-809's battery is charged when connected, this D-807 doesn't.

I am 99.9% sure that the D807 will be our next phones. I've not had a bluetooth phone yet and I am currious about a few things. First of all, I will be getting a Parrot Hansfree car kit installed in my wife's car. If her setup isn't as easy as possible, she'll never use it. The car kit will turn on and start "looking" for her phone as soon as the car is started...but what about the phone? Can she just leave the blutooth turned on all the time or will that kill her battery way too fast? How fast? How many steps are there to turn that feature on and off in the phone? Can a button be programmed as a shortcut to turn BT on & off quickly? Thanks for any replies!

I can't change to 1280x1024 on the photo mode and for some reason, my video cut-offs after 10 seconds.

is there any way to use something besides the default message tones that come with it?

I have no clue why, but the phone is defaulting to save the incoming text messages (and incoming ONLY) to the SIM card. the SIM card only has a capacity for 18 messages while the phone can hold 200. has anyone found a place to change the default save location?

A few people told me that this phone DOES support RINGTONE and VIBRATION at the same time, while a few have told me its ONE or the OTHER. You cannot set the phone to RING and VIBRATE simultaneously!

Hi all,

I just got the adaptor to convert the D807 charger/headphone jack to the standard 1/8" jack with the intent to use the phone as an MP3 player (I already have a Bluetooth handsfree for voice).

I have 2 problems now, and after searching the forum haven't found answers:

1. When I plug it in while playing MP3s, the external speaker cuts off (like it should), but NO sound comes through the headphones. Do I have to adjust a setting somewhere to get the player to send music through the plug?

2. Using the same setup, I can get phone sounds (beeps and such) though the headphones, but only through one earbud. Assuming I can get my problem in #1 above resolved, will I be limited to mono playback through a single ear? Hope not, ...

I have Opera and Gmail apps that I want to be at the top of the list, but they're shuffled in with other games that I have and I have to scroll a lot to find them. I'd like to order the list with most-used apps and games at the top.

Anyone found out how to do this?

Is there any way to use different ringtones for text messages? As far as I can tell, the only sounds you can select are the 10 pre-installed ones, with no option to go to "my audio", or anything. Thanks for the help!

I have a bunch of music on my phone, i keep re-arranging them on the computer through my SD file in alphabetical order, but once i put the card back in my phone, the order is messed up again. i just want them in alpha order or whichever order i put them in! It just keeps putting them back to the original order from way back when i started putting music on it. Anyone know a trick???
