to all the haters........

I have had the V180, 186, 188, 190, and 220. The 190 kills all of them. it takes all the good from the previous and weeds out the bad. It's loud as hell and easy buttons for dialing or texting. smooth rounded case with external monochrome. I got a deal on it - $90. Louder, clearer, and has stronger RF than my nokia 6061, 6270, and RAZR.

if not, it's not a big deal.

Just Low End?

Everyone seems to think that it is just low end motorola's that have these issues. It is ALL motorola's. you may get lucky and have one that doesn't have them but its just that, luck. Not only did the v180 and the v220 have screen issues, but so did the v600, the v551, and the razr. As for the Rokr it is a newer phone that I am sure will be found to have the same, or its own new and interesting problems. If motorola could get their phones to work properly and actually be reliable, maybe they would stop being second in the list of cell phone manufacturers. If you are looking for a cost efficient, reliable phone, it is clearly a nokia that you need.

Motorola V190 Keypad Backlight?

Has anyone experienced any odd behaviors of the Motorola V190's keypad backlight?

I've received two similar reports of the phones keypad backlight not illuminating when the keys are pressed. Instead, it seems to turn itself on without consistency or reason.

My first inclination is that we may have a software issue... Anyone else seeing or hearing of this sort of odd behavior?

i like it.

they should have relased this instead of the v180, which is a horrible phone. i really like the front of it. being that I have the rockr e1, se. s710a, and all the other high end phones, i dont think i wound get this ever, but for a low end phone, its really nice looking.
