this should be designed for pants pissers

I laugh at this. 5 year old kids can run a phone better than I can.

What we really need is a phone for old people. They dont even know how to run a toaster let alone a cell phone.

All they need is 4 #'s

This would save me about 4 hours a day showing old f'ers how to turn the damn thing on! 🙂

Waste of money

You might as well get a cheaper phone and tell your kids how to use the phone. They want 😳 100 dollars 😳 for this.... Not in my life time!

UGHH!!

Although I agree with many of the statements on this forum regarding the look of this phone and lack of functionality, I must confess that I am considering buying this phone for my 8 year old daughter. I love that there are only 4 phone numbers in the book and an emergency number as well.

I have an 8 yr old and a 12 yr old daughter and I have found out the hard way that trusting teenagers with a phone is not the easiest thing to do.

She has a large phone book (almost as large as mine) and has even taken to using her cell phone when she is home even thought the house phone is feet from her. She ahs become better with the phone after much reinforcing of rules.

My eight year old has been bugging me for a phone for some time now and I...

Just picked up phone today

😁
my husband just picked up this phone today for my 6 1/2 year old. The phone cost $99 with 2 year activation, and $9.99 a month added onto our family plan. 6 1/2 year olds have actvities that we never had as child, that keep them away from us for lengths of time, i.e. Brownie meetings, after school sports, and numerous play dates. This is just a tool, for us to give them to reach us, if they want to use. It's not for everyone and it does tach responsibility at a young age (which they have more than I did at that age).

perfect for a child with disabilities

🙂 Our oldest child is almost 13 years old and like most kiddos in junior high she wants a cell phone. She has multiple learning disabilities and we felt it would make her/us feel more secure if she could contact us whenever she needed to.
I let her have my old phone when I traded up, but we soon realized that while she wants/needs a cell phone it was too confusing for her to try to reach us;she dialed her grandparents, my closest friend, her school, but not us!!this totally freaked her out.
So, needless to say we are thrilled about the new phone and best of all our child is excited plus she likes the idea of having a shrek phone that is easy for her to understand. It is very important for kiddos with disabilities to have the "normal" ...

Lets fry the kids head early...that away they will grow up to be stupid americans

Radiation is good to kill brain cells. With Verizon Wireless Coverage area and the fact that CDMA technology outputs more electomagnatic radiation will have those kids so stupid they will vote for bush over and over.. 😳

People want this crap

I have actually had multiple people come in asking about the "Firefly", I think that kids dont need sell phones when they are infants. Lets wait till they get to be at least 14 before we get them one.

Finally... A great phone for the Elderly...

I will buy two of these the day they are released...

My Parents are in their 80's and have trouble understanding how to use their cell phones, and reading the displays (which really confuse them)...

This is going to be a great product for those of us that have to watch over and keep in touch with elderly parents...

Super simple for them to use and instant contact to 911... Could get them help quickly when they need it...

PST tool? Cool!

Perhaps the parents can unlock the subsidy lock or reflash the software version as well... 😉
